48 Indian nationals have been arrested for violating the Immigration Emigration Act. They have been arrested from Aluthgama and Bendara.They visited the tourist visa and they are engaged in construction work.
According to the Department of Immigration and Emigration, 42 of the detainees remain in the country after the visa expires.
The detainees said they were detained in Mirihana special detention camp.
