Four died in a car accident in the northern region of Ontario and five were admitted to hospital.

The Ontario Provincial Police said that the accident occurred last night at Highway 17, about 15 kilometers south of Wawa, Ontario.

Early investigation reports indicated that the accident occurred in the north and the south-faced vehicle collided and nine people were traveling in two vehicles.

Five of the motorized passengers on the north side were hospitalized and two of them were reported dead.

Two of the passengers who were traveling south were reportedly killed on the spot and two others were admitted to hospital.
