The fire began at 1 pm this afternoon in a 20-storey building located at the Parliament Street and Bloor Street.

After the fire on the ground near the building, soon after Hurricane Katrina fired on the other side of the building, the firefighters took control of the car and then removed the smoke surrounding all the floors.

More than a hundred firefighters were involved in the firefighting operation, 26 fire trucks and large-scale water pumps.
