Japan's Prime Minister wins as leader of the ruling party

Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has won again in the election of the ruling party leader.

The leader of the progressive Democratic Party, Shinzo Abe, has been the prime minister since 2012. He was defeated by former Defense Minister Shinkar Ishiba, who was elected to the post for 3rd time in the election held yesterday.

Abe has had a chance to extend the post of Prime Minister in Japan for three more years. He is a long time prime minister in the country.

From 1901 to 1913, Japan's Prime Minister Taro Kautura was the longest prime minister in Japan. Abe will remain Prime Minister until November 2019, and Kathua will be able to cross 2,886 days of prime minister's post.
