Sri Lanka - Minister of Reconstruction of creative activities to strengthen Saudi Arabia

Industry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen made it clear that relations with Saudi Arabia, which are constructive in Sri Lanka's economic development and welfare measures, should be strengthened.

The Minister said at the 88th National Day celebration of Saudi Arabia that he was speaking at Prime Minister's address.

Former President and Parliamentarian Mahinda Rajapaksa, ministers Faisar Musthafa, Hispublah, Dayagamage, Anoma Gamage and former Defense Secretary Gotabhaya were among those present at the event at the Sri Lanka Sunrise Hotel yesterday (25), headed by Saudi Arabian Ambassador Abdul Nasser Al-Hardy, Rajapaksa And many other eminent figures, including the Ambassadors of Sri Lanka in various countries.

Addressing the minister here, Rishad said,

Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia are working closely with one of the most intimate relationships and tight relationships.

More diplomatic relations must be further strengthened.

Sri Lanka has migrated from Sri Lanka and has the highest number of immigrants from Sri Lanka, with 1,60,000 Sri Lankans working in Saudi Arabia.

In this way, Saudi Arabia needs more opportunities for employment to Sri Lankans.

Sri Lanka has developed strong economic partnership in the Middle East in terms of trade, investment, knowledge, technology development and technology transfer.
